About Run Uprising

The club has two core components: a Junior Development Program designed to support high-performing junior middle and long distance athletes, and Personalized Online Coaching available to runners of all abilities – from beginners through to experienced competitive athletes.

Run Uprising was founded by Shane Grund, a World Cross Country Champion in his age group. Shane’s coaching philosophy combines performance, longevity, and enjoyment of the sport.

Many of our athletes regularly represent Victoria at national track and field and cross country championships.

Our Personalized Online Coaching provides coaching for runners of all levels, whether you are just starting your running journey or chasing ambitious performance goals.

We work with athletes targeting distances from the 5km through to the marathon and beyond.

The program includes:

  • Initial consultation to understand your goals and current fitness
  • A customised weekly training program, which can be delivered straight to your watch
  • Weekly online check-ins to review progress
  • Ongoing training adjustments
  • 24/7 coach access for questions, feedback, or injury concerns

Our goal is to help you train smarter, remain consistent, and achieve your personal best performances.

One-on-One Coaching

For athletes seeking a more personalised coaching experience, we offer private one-on-one sessions.

These sessions are ideal for runners wanting help with technique, running mechanics, race preparation, or general training guidance.

Sessions typically run for one hour and may include technique assessment, video analysis, and personalised feedback to help improve efficiency and reduce injury risk.

Sessions can be tailored to suit the athlete’s specific needs and goals.
